January release notes
Features
- Workflows can now be configured to send templated messages to patients
- Available for MyPreOp+ customers
- As well as sending invites in response to trigger events, workflows can now send patient messages
- Messages are generated using the existing message template functionality
- Messages are sent using the same transport as invites (sms or email based on available patient contact info)
- Please contact your account manager to discuss enabling this feature in your workflows
- Hyperlinks in patient messages are now automatically converted to clickable links
- Messages sent to patients often include links to customer-provided materials (e.g. information about a procedure)
- In order to access these links the patient had to copy the link and paste it in order to access it
- Content in messages that looks like a link is now safely converted to a clickable link that the patient can just tap instead of having to copy and paste.
- Clinicians authoring messages or message templates in the portal can also use the preview tab to verify their link will be clickable before sending the message or saving the template
- This feature is behind a feature toggle and is in the process of being rolled out to customers
- Integrated RTT Start Date via ZU1 HL7 segment (ZU1.16)
- This field is controlled by tenant integration config and can be enabled on request
- Unless it is specifically enabled as part of an integration, any value in this field is ignored
- Please contact your account manager to discuss making use of this feature.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
- Reduction of patient app errors on slow connections
- There were ongoing reports of issues accessing the patient app and our December release roundup referenced some changes we made to help address these.
- This month we have made additional changes to further reduce these occurrences including adjusting request timeouts and session handling.
- These changes were rolled out system wide and benefit all customers immediately.
